Seniors and Unders win, but it was hard work for all teams

Round 7 was a mixed bag for the club, 2 wins and 3 losses, somewhat of a reality check.  Our seniors, 2nds and women all ventured to Beaumaris and faced difficult challenges.  The seniors had to come from a 9 point 3Q deficit to get a 2 goal win (fitness again showed out), whilst the 2nds couldn't match Beauy (ladder leaders).  The Women were gallant in defeat, suffering a huge blow with a serious hip injury to their inspirational captain, Kirra Tevelein.  The 3rds got banged up on the vast expanses of Como Park where OG held firm.  Credit to our Unders who despite sending 2 players up to the seniors (Ollie Dickson and Henry Chapman) held Uni Blues at bay and won comfortably.  Seniors now sit outright ladder leaders in Premier B grade courtesy of Bernies thrashing the Blacks.

So to this week's round, Carey Bulleen will be busy as we have all 5 teams at home.  Seniors will need to be at their best as they host Blacks who no doubt will be desperate to atone from last week.  Arguably the match of the day will be the Unders who host Williamstown CYMS in a top of the table clash.

Cookie's Kitchen will again be firing as we greet our 1998 Senior Premiers, we were in E grade then, how things have changed.  Will be great to have them back and for them to see where the club is today and what amateur football now looks like.

So please join us for a cracking day at "The Complex", I have no doubt Dunshea will be in mint condition and ready for you.
